HISTORY
The Flaxmill was originally built in the early 1940s as part of the war effort to produce linen. At the time Ireland and Holland were unde attack so there was a shortage of linen. There were a total of 16 flax mills built throughout the South Ialnd. After the completion of the war the flax mill was no longer needed. After being decommissioned it was later used for grain and hay storage for a farm.
In 2010 Lin & Gerry Thomson converted The Flaxmill into the stunning venue that it is today. The venue can seat up to 100 guests, has a large commercial kitchen and provides the tables, chairs, plates, cutlery and glasses, so all you need is some food, beverages and your guests!
